Rosa Parks Scholarship Foundation
This is a $2,000.00 non-renewable scholarship offered to graduating seniors. Winners are selected on the basis of scholarship, leadership, financial need, and dedication to the civil rights principles of Rosa L. Parks, whose historic stand against racial prejudice in 1955 brought her national recognition. Applicants must: Graduate by August 2010, have a 2.5 GPA or above, describe financial need, complete application form and essay, document community activities, confirm admission to university or college, furnish official copies of high school transcript and ACT results and furnish 3 letters of recommendation. Stop in the Counseling Office for more information. Applications must be submitted by: March 1, 2010.
