Ray A. Kroc Scholarship (McDonald's Corp.)

A $1,000.00 scholarship is being offered through the McDonald's Corp. of Tawas for one area high school senior. Stop in the counseling office for info. Deadline date to counseling office: Friday, May 8th.

Whittemore Speedway Scholarship

The Whittemore Racing Club is offering a scholarship to area high school seniors. A 2.75 GPA is required and a brief statement of what this scholarship would mean to you. All applications must be postmarked no later than April 20, 2009 to address given on application.

Michigan Retailers Association

The Michigan Retailers Association is offering a $1,000.00 scholarship to a student or his/her parents that work for a business that is a member of MRA (Michigan Retailers Assoc.) Check with employer to see if they are members. Applications and information can be found online at: http://www.retailers.com/ and must be requested by March 15th and submitted by April 1st, 2010. Access code is MIRA. Awards are not based on financial need.

Kiwanis Club Scholarship

Applications are now available in the counseling office for the Kiwanis Club Scholarship. This scholarship is available to all seniors who plan on attending college, a trade school or a vocational school. Two recommendation letters and a brief resume are required. Deadline date to the counseling office: April 16, 2010.

The Thomas Pintkowski Memorial Scholarship

One female & one male will receive a $500.00 scholarship. You must have been a member of at least one varsity athletic team during your senior year, plan on attending a post secondary institution and carry a minimum GPA of 3.0. Deadline to the counseling office is: April 23, 2010.

The Holy Family Council of Catholic Women Scholarship

Applicants must be members of Holy Family Church, active in the youth ministry, plan on attending post secondary institution and carry at least a GPA of 2.5. Applications are available in the counseling office and must be returned to the office by: May 7, 2010.

Judith L. Thibault Scholarship

The Judith L. Thibault Memorial Scholarship application is now available in the counseling office. This scholarship is in memory of a long time resident and business owner in the Tawas area. Requirements: Current senior and plans on attending a college, university or trade school in the fall. Deadline to counseling office is: May 1, 2009.
